Hiermit möchten wir Sie über drei Pressemitteilungen informieren, welche das SIGNO-Projektmanagement in Abstimmung mit dem BMWi entworfen und den SIGNO-Partnern zur Verfügung gestellt hat.

Die KMU-Patentaktion war und ist ein erfolgreiches Sensibilisierungs- und Stimulierungsprogramm, welches mit wenigen Mitteln große Wirkung zeigt. Dies zeigt eindrücklich der jüngst auf www.signo-deutschland.de veröffentlichte Evaluationsbericht der Prognos AG. Auch die Erweiterung der Zielgruppe auf das nichtproduzierende Gewerbe und die freien Berufe im April 2010 konnte erfolgreich und unmittelbar umgesetzt werden und hat die Erwartungen sogar stark übertroffen.
Dies alles verdankt SIGNO auch Ihrem Engagement und Ihrer Beratungsarbeit vor Ort, für die das Projektmanagement und wir als SIGNO-Partner uns an dieser Stelle sehr herzlich bedanken möchten!

Leider hat dieser Erfolg auch Schattenseiten. Die ständig wachsenden Antragszahlen haben zur Folge, dass die Mittel nun zum Ende der Förderperiode (31.12.2010) für weitere Neubewilligungen knapp werden und wir an die Kapazitätsgrenze stoßen. Die aktuelle Haushaltslage gibt leider auch keine kurzfristige Erhöhung des Budgets her.

Um mit dieser Sachlage möglichst reibungslos und ohne größere Unannehmlichkeiten auf allen Seiten umzugehen, möchten wir Sie bitten, in Ihren aktuellen Beratungs- und Informations-gesprächen Interessenten der SIGNO-Förderung auf den derzeitigen Bewilligungsstopp hin-zuweisen. Alle bereits bewilligten Fälle können ganz normal zur Abrechnung gebracht werden. Nach Aussagen des Ministeriums sollen ab Januar 2011 wieder Bewilligungen in der KMU-Patentaktion ausgesprochen werden, so dass sich bis nächstes Jahr die Lage hoffentlich wieder entspannt hat.

Am 31.03.2010 sind die neuen Richtlinien für die KMU-Patentaktion im Bundesanzeiger bekannt gegeben worden. Somit sind seit 01.04.2010 auch Dienstleistungsunternehmen und Freiberufler förderfähig z.B. das entwickelnde Ingenieurbüro.

Ab dem 01.04.2010 können Anträge nur noch auf den neuen Formularen gestellt werden. Bitte benutzen Sie ab sofort nur noch diese!

Brügmann Software is offering a new version of the PAVIS interface for PatOrg 5 Suite. The interface is now based on XML format, though data compilation is still managed using PatOrg Skript, allowing flexible configuration of data on specific property rights, individuals and orders that is to be transferred to PAVIS.

Through the SIGNO programme, which was revised in April 2008 and was formerly known as INSTI or the exploitation initiative, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) supports universities, businesses and independent inventors in legally protecting and commercially exploiting their innovations, thus ensuring that useful inventions made in Germany are also successfully protected and implemented.

SIGNO comes from the Latin signum or signet, a term that has long been used to refer to identifications, trade marks and brands which businesses used to identify their goods and set themselves apart from the competition.

SIGNO offers financial assistance to universities, industry and private inventors.

The change of name also means amending contracts and forms for SME patent actions, but this will not be completed until the summer of 2008. As a result, you may for a certain period of time come across documents still referring to "INSTI". However, contracts and forms will be usable and valid in both versions until further notice.

A security check has been performed by an external certified examination organisation. Our IT-environment (data security, system reliability, …) passed the entire test successfully and was rated "excellent".
