RS3-e is an online patent information service with integrated search engine for the automatic monitoring of patent publications. Its mail structure is similar to Microsoft Outlook, and you can use the service under www.rs3-e.de

What exactly is RS3-e and what can it do?

RS3-e supplies patent publications that are relevant to your R&D in an easy and cost-efficient manner, online and filtered. The personalised access for each individual user, and the pre-selection of documents according to defined search criteria, provide you with all the relevant information that you require – in a timely manner and across companies. It also provides a system for the individual archiving of the documents retrieved.

Extremely easy to operate

RS3-e is accessed via your Internet browser and works as easily as an email program. You can immediately page through the patent documents retrieved, or print out the entire document. RS3-e additionally serves as a search engine that you can use for downloading specific patent documents directly from the Internet, independently from the current monitoring.

Criteria for information procurement

RS3-e provides you with all relevant documents according to the search criteria that you define:

1. Specialist field:
Headings according to the international patent classification (IPC).

2. Competitors:
Corporate patent applicants (information on their R&D activities).

3. Keywords:
Search for specific words in title and abstract in addition to the class monitoring.

Automatic ONLINE searching

RS3-e automatically searches in the background at set intervals. It uses a large variety of search services of the European, German, and US Patent Offices, as well as data of specialised providers.
You will find the updated search results every week in the respective search folder of your inbox, where you can conveniently sort the documents that are of interest, and forward them to other people.
